Mission of the Department

To preserve life without pain by providing comprehensive and compassionate anesthesia care to the surgical and obstetrical patients of JHSH of Cook County and by relieving acute and chronic pain in all of its patients. Furthermore, our
mission includes the provision of educational programs to teach techniques of preserving life and abolishing pain and the development of research programs to expand the scope of our mission and our ability to accomplish it.
